The CP® Products Company is a “small shop” success
story in an industry dominated by large corporations. G.O. “Chris”
Christopher patented an aerial nozzle and joined R.R. “Bob”
Evans, an experienced marketer and friend of 40 years, in the formation
of The CP® Products Company. The founders were both 67 years
old. In just a few short years, the two WWII pilots established
CP® Aerial Nozzles as the industry standard. CP® Products
then added an aerial check valve to its line and adapted the CP®
concepts for ground application equipment. “CP® Products
has revolutionized and simplified operations for ag pilots. Custom
applicators see the same results with CP® Products’ nozzles
and check valves for ground rigs,” noted Dick Reade, President
of Mid-Continent Aircraft Corp.
Christopher and Evans are retired now. Carolyn Baecker, Evans’
daughter, is President and majority owner. The CP® Products
Company tradition of innovation continues. Several new nozzles and
check valves have been introduced recently. CP’s Sprayer Turbo
Nozzle, the most recent addition to the line, won an ASAE 2005 AE50
Award for engineering design innovation.
CP Products’ company philosophy still centers on service
to its customers and positive contribution to the agriculture industry.
CP® works hard to give the best possible service to its customers.
New product development begins with customer calls, comments, suggestions
and criticisms.
“This industry is under unprecedented pressure to produce
high quality crops at the lowest price and the least risk to the
environment. It’s a tall order, but the more contact we have
with farmers and custom applicators, the greater our faith in the
industry and its ability to meet these challenges. It is a privilege
to be participants in this industry,” stated Bob Evans, early
in the development of the company. Every one at The CP® Products
Company still feels the same way.
